Sustainability and social responsibility are important values for us. After all, a responsible social attitude and sustainable handling of resources and the environment are a prerequisite for long-term economic success. Many companies therefore attach importance to transparency with regard to sustainability and corporate social responsibility (CSR) when deciding on a particular supplier. The certification provides proof of our commitment along global value and supply chains.
This is our third Silver rating since 2018 when we were granted a Silver recognition level based on our EcoVadis CSR rating for the first time. The second best of five evaluation levels shows we fulfill 21 CSR criteria which are contained under four themes: environment, labor, fair business practices and sustainable procurement. The EcoVadis assessment evaluates a company CSR management system by looking at seven management indicators that are assigned to the areas of policies, actions and results.
Policies account for 25 % of the rating. The management indicators assessed are mission statements, commitments, principles, objectives and/or policies issued by the company as well as endorsement of CSR external initiatives, principles and/or active participation to international/sector CSR initiatives.
actions weigh in for 35 %. Management indicators are concrete actions put in place to support commitments, objectives and deployment of policies (e.g. training, manuals, procedures), the level of deployment/dissemination of measures and concrete actions put in place throughout the company to support
commitments and/or policies and certifications received for the management system and/or labels received for the products/services delivered.
