Challenges and opportunities following U.S. mid-term elections

In November 2022, the United States went through their mid-term elections. While this election doesn’t change who the President of the U.S., federal legislators and state governments have been modified which will have impacts on the U.S. aerosol industry. As with any change, this presents both challenges and opportunities for those that conduct business within the United States. Businesses will have to be quick and nimble to adjust and take advantage.

The new generation of internal BPA NI coating: Challenges regarding the presence of non-intentionally added substances (NIAS) versus food safety standards.

In recent years, particular attention has been paid to the materials and chemicals used in the manufacture of food contact materials (FCM). LEREM is supporting the actors of the FCM industry who wish to increase their efforts in the research of non-intentionally added substances (NIAS). The identification of unknown substances, migrating from FCMs, will allow packaging manufacturers to confirm that their products are compliant with current regulations and will help them to comply with regulatory changes.

Beyond the spray – what can science teach us about compressed gas aerosols?

In a world where sustainability is the number one priority, aerosols are endangered both by new regulations concerning COVs & by the GWP of the gas it contains. Compressed gas aerosol has become a challenging research subject, to achieve the highest consumer experience possible while offering a product with less environmental impact. After two years of scientific studies, it is about time to reflect about some noticeable discoveries concerning compressed gas sprays, and what is left to achieve.

twistMistTM: new aerosol technology that’s changing the aerosol category for good

Brands today are expected to deliver packaging that is loved by consumers, is cost-effective, and has a perfect sustainability profile. This is incredibly challenging, even more so for aerosols where we need to maintain a pressurized package. The team at Alternative Packaging Solutions (APS) has solved this puzzle with twistMistTM, a propellant-free package that delivers against these needs.
