Tell us a bit about the brand – its heritage, its story, and its markets – and the brief for this project. How does the design express the brand’s values?
Elemental, balanced, and rooted in faith, Lafz is a soulful brand, believed in being in harmony with oneself and feeling confident about one’s identity and core. It’s a celebration of YOU without compromising on your values.
What inspired the design?
The narratives for the packaging design were based on this deeper understanding of the Lafz belief system and its unique audience. The essence is captured in the designs through a balanced approach, a blend of modernity with intricate craftsmanship. The ingredient stories were hand-drawn to create unique and memorable signature stories layered on balanced and minimal layouts. The unique tree forms unify the range and give it a real touch.
The brand palette was defined as evolved, natural, deep hues layers with accents of metallic gold, silver and rose golds.
What is innovative or unusual about the pack?
The newness or unusual aspect of the design is the beautifully detailed vector stories derived from the ingredients that are reminiscent of the intricate Islamic art. The foiled motifs and matt, gloss finished, also add to the sensorial experience.
What reactions have you had from your consumers?
This collection of Lafz was launched in August 2021. It’s now available on the company’s website, Instagram, and many other online stores. The consumers have shared their comments and they have specifically loved the packaging. It emphasises both the details and clear memorable structure, thus establishing a strong brand identity across all platforms.
