Retailers put sustainability in focus for the Christmas gifting season
‘Tis the season! Retailers are ready for a green Christmas this year as the search for eco-friendly, sustainable products is on the rise.
- Supermarket Morrisons, and UK’s luxury department store chain John Lewis, is scrapping glitter from its own-brand Christmas products.
- Beauty and health care retailer Boots, is removing single-use plastic from is Christmas gift packaging. This will save more than 2,000 tonnes of plastic pollution from going into the environment!
With the behaviour of consumers shifting to be more sustainable, retailers taking these initiatives translate this ‘buzz’ into actual action – no matter how big or small – it makes a huge difference. One step closer towards a greener Christmas!
